PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive and reliable printer by constituting a head- supporting member for supporting a printing head to press the printing head to a platen and radiate heat generated from the printing head. SOLUTION: The line thermal printer has a frame body, a platen supported rotatably to the frame body, a printing head for printing to a recording paper wound to the platen, and a head-supporting member rotatably supported to the frame body for supporting the printing head. The head-supporting member presses the printing head to the platen and also radiates heat generated by the printing head.
