PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll-up shutter capable of realizing sufficient natural lighting, ventilation and dimming functions in addition to crime prevention by assuring pleasant oscillating operability for each slat. SOLUTION: This shutter is equipped with a plurality of slat sheets 1, a roll-up and roll-down mechanism 3 for these slats 1, and a guide mechanism 4 for guiding these slats 1. And each slat 1 can be oscillated by roll-up operation. Its roll-up and roll-down mechanism 3 comprises a slat roll-up section 30 for rolling up a plurality of slats 1, 1, 1..., and a ball chain 31 as a means of driving for giving a rotating power. And for locating the operating position at the indoor side for this ball chain 31, the ball chain 31 is taken out to the indoor side through a leading means 33 from a sprocket gear 32 fixed to one end of the slat roll-up section 30 as shown in Fig.1 and Fig. 2.
