PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective means for inhibiting such as deterioration (the occurrence of foul smell or acidic odor, or the like) of a citrus-based perfume as is undergone during the storage. SOLUTION: The deterioration inhibitor is characterized by the blend thereof with a carbonate salt as the effective component. The method for inhibiting the deterioration of a citrus-based perfume is characterized by adding the above deterioration inhibitor to a toiletry product which is a blend of a citrus-based perfume and mirabilite.
