PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel having a cylindrical part, capable of surely preventing a liquid from penetrating from the cylindrical part by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This spinning reel is equipped with a cylindrical part 14 at the front of a reel body 2. The cylindrical part 14 is furnished with a backstop mechanism 13 and the tip of the cylindrical part 14 is equipped with a sealing member 65. The backstop mechanism 13 has a roller type one-way clutch 51 which is arranged in the cylindrical part 14 and can take a reverse permission state for permitting the rotation of a rotor 3 in the winding direction of fishing line and a reverse prohibition state for prohibiting the rotation of the rotor and a change mechanism 52 for changing the one-way clutch 51 from the reverse prohibition state to the reverse permission state from the rear of the inner peripheral part of the cylindrical part from the outer peripheral face of the cylindrical part 14. The sealing member 65 is a member for sealing the opening of the cylindrical part ahead the one-way clutch 51.
