PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus exhibiting excellent recycling performance and productivity without having adverse effect on the environment. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises a plurality of function blocks individually exchangeable to blocks having novel functions, i.e. control block 1, power supply block 2, basic block 3, carriage block 4, recovery block 5, cut sheet basic block 6, and sheet feed block 7. The control block 1 confirms operation of its own block at the time of initial operation of the apparatus and recognizes other function blocks connected thereto.
