PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal welding method, with which the different kinds of metallic members are joined with an electric resistance welding in good condition and also, the deterioration of the electrode member is prevented, and the welded product thereof. SOLUTION: When a brazing filler metal layer is formed on the surface of a valve seat 3, the dipping position of this valve seat is set to the bath surface of the brazing filler metal and the valve seat is supported so that only the joining objective surface is dipped in the brazing filler metal bath 13. Then the brazing filler metal does not enter into a portion except this joining objective surface by utilizing the surface tension of the brazing filler metal bath 13. In such a way, the valve seat 3 which forms the brazing filler metal layer only to the joining objective surface, is joined with a cylinder head by the electric resistance welding.
