PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall material using a half round timber meant for preventing especially a torsion from occurring. SOLUTION: The wall material using a half round timber is obtained by forming a flat end face 4 which is orthogonal with a split face 3 by cutting in the side end part of the half round timber and also forming grooves 5 extending in the longer direction of the end face 4 by cutting, and joining a plurality of the half round timbers 2 with projecting faces aligned in order by inserting a flat plate 6 into the grooves 5. Preferably, the flat plates 6 are arranged in a single row. The half round timbers 2 are formed with the same thickness all along in the longer direction and the end face 4 is formed with the same width in the longer direction. For example, the flat plate 6 is made of either of an engineering plastic, a hard wood, metal or ceramic. In addition, a flat surface is formed by cutting on the projecting face side of the half round timbers 2 and is hardened by heat.
