PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus in which a cut window is closed during agitation, and treated garbage is discharged surely and smoothly only during discharge without being affected by the properties of garbage. SOLUTION: In a garbage treatment apparatus provided with a treatment part for biodegrading garbage, a recovery part for recovering the biodegrading garbage, and a deodorization exhaust part for eliminating/discharging odors from the recovery part, a discharge opening shutter is fitted to a cut window which is cut in the wall of a treatment tank of the treatment part in which garbage is housed.
