PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment device, capable of executing uniform heat treatment. SOLUTION: In the heat treatment for executing a hardening and tempering of a gear 3 by using a high frequency inductor 4 to execute the induction heating to the teeth of the gear 3, the hardening and tempering work is executed under the state of dipping the gear 3 into boiled water in a warm bath vessel 20. The temperature of the gear 3 at the starting of the tempering is stabilized by dipping the gear 3 into the boiled water and the unevenness of the temperature is made small and the tempering can uniformly be executed.
