<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which has a high strength and is well- balanced in weight and inexpensive by improving the weldability of the club head. SOLUTION: The golf club head consists of a body 2 composed of a castβtype titanium alloy and a face 4 which is composed of a plastically-processedβtype titanium alloy and welded to the body 2. The periphery 4a of the face 4 is brought into contact with the periphery 8a of an opening 8 of the face 4 to weld the periphery 4a to the periphery 8a by means of a welding material 10 at a weld point P between both peripheries 4a, 8a so that the face 4 can be welded to the body 2.</p> |
