A restraint for restraining an object with respect to a support comprises attachment means (2,4)for attaching the restraint to a support, a restraining band (1;5a,5b) for restraining the object with respect to the support, and a reinforcing member (7) for reinforcing the restraining effect of the restraining band (1;5a,5b) when closed around the object to be restrained. The restraint may be used for juveniles or the disabled when positioned on a seat, especially the seat of a motor vehicle, the attachment means (2,4) enclosing the seat back. |
