PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost parts feeder that generates reduced noise for a quiet work environment when transferring parts, and can transfer or feed even brittle parts without damage thereto and fractures therein. SOLUTION: A sliding parts feeder 1 is so constructed that a bowl 111 is supported by four guide rails 19 fixed in an equiangular relation along the undersurface circumference of a bottom plate 121 of the bowl 111 and by idle rollers 29 rotatably placed on a bed 9 corresponding to the guide rails 19, and that a projection 12h of the bottom plate 121 is coupled to an AC servomotor 61 via a crank mechanism 63. The AC servomotor 61 turns the bowl 11 at small acceleration in the transfer direction of parts P as they follow the turning movement, and at such larger acceleration in the opposite direction as overcomes the frictional resistance between the parts P and the bowl 11, so that the parts P are slid over the bowl 11 in the transfer direction.
