PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a more distinct image by applying a device for preventing stray light from arriving at an image carrier. SOLUTION: An image forming lens 9 is arranged so that the center of the intensity distribution of the light output of the light emitting elements in a light emitting element array 3 (beam intensity distribution center line 7) does not coincide with the center of the image forming lens 9 (image forming lens center line 9A) on the incident surface 9B of the image forming lens, in order to reduce the incidence of stray light which is generated when the exposing light from the light emitting element array 3 is reflected from a wire 6, on the image forming lens 9.
