PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an unsaturated thermoplastic resin material causing no crack on the surface of molding product by shock, a sheet molding compound and a molding product using the sheet molding compound. SOLUTION: This unsaturated polyester resin material characteristically comprises an unsaturated polyester, a polymerizable monomer, a thermoplastic resin, an inorganic filler and an organic fiber nonwoven fabric as essential components. This sheet molding compound is obtained by using the unsaturated polyester resin material. This sheet molding compound molding product is obtained by molding the sheet molding compound under pressure by heating.
