PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer composition which has a good processibility, has been remarkably improved in characteristics such as wet skid properties, low hysteresis properties (low rolling resistance), and abrasion resistance, and is used especially for tire treads intended for lower fuel consumption and greater safety; a method for producing the polymer composition; and a vulcanizable rubber composition based on the polymer composition. SOLUTION: A diolefin polymer composition is provided which comprises (A) a conjugated diolefin homopolymer or a copolymer of a conjugated diolefin and an aromatic vinyl compound, the homopolymer or copolymer having amino groups and (B) a conjugated diene homopolymer or a copolymer of a conjugated diolefin and an aromatic vinyl compound, the homopolymer or copolymer having amino groups and at least one kind of group selected from among alkoxysilyl, hydroxyl and tin-containing groups, provided one of (co)polymer A and (co)polymer B has a wt. average mol.wt. of 1,000-90,000 and the other has that of 90,000-2,000,000. A method for producing the polymer composition is also provided, together with a vulcanizable rubber composition prepared by using the polymer composition.
