INSERT FOR TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert for a tank connection opening which is made to have poor hydrocarbon permeability in order to reduce the total discharge of hydrocarbons of a plastic fuel tank and a method for producing the insert. SOLUTION: An insert part of a thermoplastic resin conformable to the fixing of the connection opening of a plastic resin fuel tank and/or the forming of the fitting seat for a connection element of the tank is provided. The insert 1 is made of the press-molded molding of a lamination material having poor hydrocarbon permeability.
