PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject inhibitor easy in intake, with good hue, and exhibiting high angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory activity. SOLUTION: This angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor is a peptide-contg. composition obtained by decomposing fish meat with thermolysin enzyme so as to be <=10 wt.% in the content of a polypeptide component >=5,000 in molecular weight.
