PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative girth for building capable of preventing rain water from being accumulated inside the decorative girth provided at the lower end of an overhang part and minimizing dirt caused by rain water from adhering onto the surface of the decorative girth. SOLUTION: This decorative girth for building is formed by providing the decorative girth 2 at the lower end of an overhang part. The decorative girth 2 is formed in a stepped shape that the upper main body 21 thereof is extended outward from the lower main body 22 thereof, an upper clearance 211 is formed between the upper end edge part 21a of the upper main body 21 and an outer wall surface 12a, and a lower clearance 221 is formed between the lower end edge part 22a of the lower main body 22 and a decorative area edge 4 installed at the lower end of the outer wall surface 12a. The lower end surface of the lower main body 22 is formed on a generally horizontal flat surface 222, and a slightly suspended flashing part 24 is fomred at a stepped part 23 between the upper main body 21 and the lower main body 22. The connection part of the upper main body 21 connected to a decorative pillar receiver 3 is formed on a flat surface 212.
