PLANT RESISTANT TO INSECT INJURY

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant that is transformed via genetic engineering so that the plant may mainfest the toxicity against the insects in Coleoptera. SOLUTION: A plant cell is transformed by using a chimeric gene containing a DNA sequence inducing the production of an RNA sequence coding for coleoptera toxin protein in Bacillus thuringiensis var. tenebrionic and a plant that is transformed is regenerated from the transformed plant cells.
