LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILICONE RUBBER FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a liquid silicone rubber composition good in operating efficiency during mixing and capable of providing a silicone rubber foam having a low specific gravity and a low thermal conductivity after curing, to provide a method for producing the silicone rubber composition and to obtain the silicone rubber foam. SOLUTION: This liquid silicone rubber composition comprises a liquid silicone rubber base compound prepared by mixing (A) a compound comprising (a) a liquid diorganopolysiloxane or (b) the liquid diorganopolysiloxane and an inorganic filler with (B) a thermoplastic resin hollow powder expandable with heat, then heat-treating the resultant mixture at a temperature of the expansion starting temperature of the component (B) or above and thereby expanding the component (B) and (C) a curing agent (in an amount sufficient to cure the liquid diorganopolysiloxane). The method for producing the composition is obtained and the method for producing the silicone rubber foam comprises heating the liquid silicone rubber composition and curing the composition.
