PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair dye composition having excellent decoloring and hair dyeing effects and repairing effects on hair by reducing the amount of a formulated alkaline agent providing an irritant smell or damage to the hair. SOLUTION: This two-part type hair dye composition comprises a first agent containing (i) a light isoparaffin and (ii) a quaternary ammonium salt of a fatty acid and a second agent containing an oxidizing agent.
