PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest for vehicles capable of keeping a trunkthrough function even when an opening is used for the trunkthrough in common. SOLUTION: Since the front end of a link 8 is pivoted in an eccentric position in the thickness direction of the side face of an armrest 7, the heights of faces turning upward are different from each other in a case that the front face 7a is turned upward and another case that rear face 7b is turned upward. Accordingly, in order to obtain a trunkthrough function, when the upwardly turning face is made low, the opening does not narrow and hence, a function as a trankthrough is not impaired.
