SOLUTION: When a control signal sent from a video game device to inquire the information of a user of a memory card device 3 is received via a transmission/reception section 23 at initialization or the like, a controller 24 controls a signal generating circuit 22, reads the information on the user stored on a flash ROM 21, and feeds the signal indicating the information of the corresponding user to the transmission/reception section 23. The transmission/ reception section 23 sends the signal fed from the signal generating circuit 22 and indicating the information of the user to the video game device. The video game device can recognize the user of the memory card device 3 based on the signal indicating the information of the user. |
