PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent operational failure by the loss of synchronism of a pulse in a motor-driven hand using a stepping motor. SOLUTION: This motor-driven hand is provided with the stepping motor 3, a pair of gripping members 4 for performing opening/closing operation by the driving and a converting mechanism 5 for converting driving force of the motor into opening/closing motion of the gripping members. The converting mechanism 5 is provided with a rotary shaft 6 being installed on an output shaft 3a of the motor 3 and having a screw part 6a on the tip, a linear motion member 7 having a screw 7a for threadedly inserting the screw part and directly acting in the shaft direction by rotation of the rotary shaft 6, an opening/closing mechanism 8 for performing opening/closing operation by a pair of gripping members 4 and a transmission shaft 9 for transmitting driving force of the direct acting member to the opening/closing mechanism. This transmission shaft 9 can move by a specific distance to the linear motion member, and is installed on the linear motion member 7 by being energized by a spring 15 in the direction for performing gripping operation to the gripping members, and the gripping members are gripped via the spring when the gripping members 4 grip an object.
