PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground structure capable of changing the lid structure so as to meet the environment where the underground structure is installed. SOLUTION: The underground structure comprises a frame body 5 buried underground, and a lid body 9 which is fitted to and supported by an inner circumferential fitting surface 7 of the frame body in an attachable/detachable manner. The frame body 5 is a receiving seat 23 of the lid body 9 on the lower side of the inner circumferential fitting surface 7, a projecting edge 7B with a locking piece R1 of a locking mechanism R provided on the lid body 9 attachable/detachable thereto/therefrom is provided, the frame body 5 is provided with a hole seat 23 projected below the projecting edge on the piece edge, a hinge body 20 connected to a lower surface of the lid body 9 is engaged therewith, and a locking hole 7C to turnably hold the lid body 9 is bored. The lid body having the locking mechanism R or the hinge body 20 can be mounted in a changeable manner.
