PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improvement method which can form an air vent, forcibly discharge the air to surely collect the air, and prevent any troubles of the displacement of other structures and suppression of discharge of the ground improvement material without being affected by the ground improvement depth or the kind of ground. SOLUTION: In the ground improvement method in which the powder and granular ground improvement material is discharged together with air into the ground in the rotational area of one or more stirring blades radially provided on a lower part 2 of a rotary shaft 1, and stirred with the original soil while the air is collected on the ground, the rotary shaft 1 is square in section, a passage 4 for the ground improvement material and a passage 5 for liquid ejection are installed inside thereof, one or more fluid ejection outlets 6 communicated with the passage 5 for the fluid ejection are located on the same level or on the upper side of the stirring blades 3, and provided on an outer circumference 7 of the rotary shaft 1, the fluid is ejected from the fluid ejection outlets 6, air is forcibly discharged along the outer circumference 7 of the rotary shaft 1 and collected on the ground 8. When the fluid is ejected from the fluid ejection outlets 6 on the outer circumference 7 of the rotary shaft 1, an air passage reaching the ground 8 is formed along the outer circumference 7 of the rotary shaft 1, and air is forcibly collected on the ground.
