PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color changing polymer material comprising a color changing compound fixed by a graft polymerization. SOLUTION: This color changing polymer material is obtained by introducing a color changing compound into a graft chain of a backbone polymer. A photochromic material, a thermochromic material or an electrochromic material is used as the color changing compound. The color changing polymer material is capable of controlling adsorption and desorption by an external stimulation and detecting the adsorption and desorption by a change in color.
