<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the degree of conformity of a measurement signal in a short time prior to calculation of a final measurement. SOLUTION: A blood vessel on the fundus oculi of an eye to be examined is irradiated with coherent measurement light, and signal light derived from scattering of the measurement light by particles within the blood vessel and reference light scattered from peripheral tissue are received; a spectrum distribution resulting from the frequency analysis of those received light signals is divided into at least two regions, that is, a noise region existing in a high frequency range and approximated to a white noise, and a signal region existing at a lower frequency than the noise region. For this division, an integrated curve accumulated from the high frequency side is originated and the shape of the curve is used. Thereafter, the degree of conformity of the signal obtained is calculated on the basis of the degree of coincidence of an approximate straight line of the integrated curve and the integrated curve in the signal region.</p> |
