<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a heat-affected area which is caused on a material to be cut by a laser beam cutting method and to improve cutting quality. SOLUTION: A cooling gas 10 is injected to the vicinity of a cutting part 8 for the purpose of cooling the part, which is the fusion part of a base material formed on a material 2 to be cut by means of a laser beam 3 emitted to the material 2 from a cutting torch 1 and of an assist gas 5 injected along the laser beam 3. The cooling gas 10 to be used is air, inert gas, carbon dioxide gas, or their mixed gas. The cooling gas 10 is cooled by a cooling device 26 or is added with water by a water adding device 27.</p> |
