SOLUTION: While holding a moving base 20 in a stopped state when a tip part of the robot arm 10 exists in a prescribed operation area with the moving base 20 as a reference, the moving base 20 is made to self-travel when the tip part of the robot arm 10 reaches an outer peripheral edge part of the operation area to reduce a separate distance between the tip part of the robot arm 10 and the moving base 20.
