PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile unit base material for tunnel interior finishing, which exhibits a sufficient adhesive strength, is light in weight to easily cope with a curved surface, is simply produced and installed, and therefore is cost-efficient, and to provide a tile unit formed of the base material, as well as a structure and a method for installing the tile unit. SOLUTION: A base material formed of paper having water resistance and noncombustibility has a number of holes 15 for adhesion formed therein, to thereby form a tile unit base material 11. Then, a plurality of tiles 20 are adhesively arranged on one surface of the base material, thereby obtaining a tile unit 10 for tunnel interior finishing. The thus obtained tile units are arranged along a tunnel substrate wall surface W, and the tile rear surface at least the adhesive holes of the base material is bonded to the tunnel substrate wall surface by an adhesive.
