PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of an accident by assembling a sliding rail with a hinge having a peculiar constitution into an overhead door and completely obviating the reluctant stop of door-opening operation regarding the overhead door in which the door under the suspended state from a door mounting body is rotated and operated upwards and the door is housed and mounted freely on a top plate. SOLUTION: The base end 7b of a supporting arm 7 is supported movably to the side-plate internal surface 1j of a door mounting body 1a, and the front end 7e of the base end 7b is attached pivotally onto the rear of the door 1e. A sliding rail 1f is composed of an outer rail 1i fixed onto the rear of the door in long size in the vertical direction, a pair of projecting strip sections 11 internally fitted to the outer rail slidably and projected in the cross direction and an inner rail 1g with an exposed hinge mounting section 11a. The door 1e can be opened and closed and moved in the vertical direction by rotation and sliding operation, and the upper end of the inner rail 1g is attached pivotally at the top-plate front edge 1c of the door mounting body 1a through a hinge 1d so as to be freely housed and mounted on the top plate 1b of the door mounting body 1a.
