PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination device which allows diagnosis while using an examination camera with a feeling similar to that of using other instruments, and which also permits an operator to perform treatments while watching the images obtained. SOLUTION: The examination device A has the examination camera 2. The examination camera 2 has built therein at least a camera lens and an image pickup means 20 including an image pickup element, and the examination device A includes an examination chair for seating a patient and an examination unit body 1 formed integrally with or separately from the examination chair, the examination unit body 1 being connected to the examination camera 2 by a connecting cable 3 and having a connector 14 for detachably connecting the connecting cable 3 thereto.
