PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form many optical elements at a time by using a mold having press faces processed in the form of optical element. SOLUTION: A mold 1 in which a press face 1a and a press face 1b are each formed at the upper and lower parts, a mold 3 in which a press face 3a is formed on one side and a mold 5 in which a press face 5a is formed on one side are prepared. An optical element material 4 made of glass or a resin is packed into a space between these molds and each mold is held by a drum mold 2. Pressure is applied to the mold 3 and the mold 5 by pressurizing and heating a press head 7 and the optical element material 4 is press-molded. Thereby, plural optical elements having good optical performances and slight dispersion can be molded once without requiring conventional complex pressurizing mechanism.
