PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer in low costs, which is capable of reducing noise directly generated from a suction port by mounting the silencer on a conventional air blower wherein noise countermeasures are not executed. SOLUTION: This silencer for an air blower is formed in such a constitution that noise absorbing part bodies 25, 25' for absorbing noise are opposed to the suction port 12a of a cylindrical main body 12 for an air blower while holding required clearances.
