PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engaging structure of a fishing rod body, capable of suppressing partial change in weight of the fishing rod body. SOLUTION: A base upper fishing rod 2 has a first engaging part 20 arranged all around the outer peripheral face of a tapered cylindrical fishing rod body at the tip of the top side. The first engaging part 20 is a part to be engaged with the outer peripheral face of a base fishing rod 1 at the tip of the top side in a state (stored state) in which the base upper fishing rod 2 is inserted into the base fishing rod 1 and housed. The first engaging part 20 has a pair of pedestal parts 21a and 21b formed at an interval axially and an engaging pipe 22 arranged on the pedestal parts 21a and 21b so as to connect a space between the pedestal parts 21a and 21b.
