PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lowering of washing performance in the case of the quantity of manually fed water being large to cause dispersion rather high in the water level in a washing machine for feeding remaining hot water in a bathtub and circulating washing water in a washing-dehydrating tub to wash and rinse. SOLUTION: The washing-dehydrating tub 1 rotatably disposed in a water receiving tub 2 is driven by a motor 4. City water is fed into the washing- dehydrating tub 1 from a feed valve 11, and water in the washing-dehydrating tub 1 is drained by a drain valve 5. The level of water in the washing- dehydrating tub 1 is detected by a water level detecting means 14, and each stroke of washing, rinsing and dehydration is successively controlled by a control means 15. The control means 15 manually feeds water into the washing- dehydrating tank 1 at the start time of a water supply stroke or during the water supply stroke, drains water down to the second specified water level when the water level detected by the water level detecting means 14 is the first specified water level or higher, and extends washing stroke time by the specified time from the initial set time.
