<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag for an air bag device capable of being housed in a compact case. SOLUTION: An air bag 11 is housed in a case 36 by overlapping the peripheral wall part 16 on the side facing an opening 13 onto the peripheral wall part 12 having the opening 13 for inflow of expansion gas, and folding the flatways expanded peripheral edge in two steps so that the edge is brought close to the opening 13 side. For the first step of folding of the air bag, the peripheral edges 18, 19, 20 in three directions around the opening 13 are folded so that they are brought close to the opening 13 side after the peripheral wall part 16 is overlapped on the peripheral wall part 12 side having the opening 13 to be flatways expanded. For the second step of folding of the air bag, the peripheral edges 21, 22, 23 on the folded end part side in three directions around the opening 13 are folded so that they are brought close to the opening 13 side.</p> |
