PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the volume of water to be consumed with good operability of a conveyor type. SOLUTION: This dishwasher 1 has a washing chamber 3 which washes the wash 4 like tableware, a carry-in port 27 which is formed on one and carries a rack 5 housing the wash 4 into the washing water chamber 3, a carry-out port 28 which is formed on the other and carries the rack 5 out of the washing water chamber 3 and a conveyor device 20 which transports the rack 5 from the carry-in port 27 up to the carry-out port 28. The dishwasher descried above has a carry-out switch 34A which is turned on and off by the rack 5 and is disposed near the carry-out port 28 and a timer which is started by the carry-out switch 34A.
