PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank made of resin to improve fuel penetration preventing performance by preventing penetration of fuel through a weld part 10 between a tank body 1 and an accessory part 6. SOLUTION: A part mounting hole 5 is formed in the tank body 1 formed by laminating together an inner shell 3 and an outer shell 4 through a fuel penetration preventing layer 2, and the accessory part 6 is welded on the outer surface of the tank body 1 in a manner to cover the part mounting hole 5. The mounting hole 5 is formed in the shape of a taper spreading toward the outer surface of the tank body 1 and a taper-form boss part 9 fitted in the part mounting hole 5 is formed at the accessory part 6. A fuel penetration preventing layer 8 laminated on the inner surface of the accessory part 6 is extended throughout the outer surface of the boss part 9. During welding of the tank body 1 and the accessory part 6, a fuel penetration preventing layer 8a on the outer surface of the boss part 9 is adhered to the fuel penetration preventing layer 2 exposed to the part mounting hole 5.
