PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control to equalize a diameter and a fly speed of ink drops flying from ink discharge nozzles of two arrays while allowing the ink to fly even during an acceleration/deceleration time of the translation of an ink-jet head by arranging the ink discharge nozzles in two lines (two arrays) perpendicular to a move direction of the ink-jet head onto an end face of the ink-jet head utilizing an electromechanical conversion element (e.g. PZT). SOLUTION: In order to eliminate a maldistribution of an ink pressure generated by an inertial force, the pressure is made already uniform when ink is supplied to ink channels, and an electric field applied to an electromechanical conversion element (e.g. PZT) is changed to change an amount of deformation of the electromechanical conversion element (e.g. PZT).
