PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a carcass cord path between bead cores uniform and to improve uniformity. SOLUTION: The method for producing a pneumatic tire comprises a preformer process P comprising a winding body forming process P1 in which a tire constituting member A is wound on the outer peripheral face 1S of a right cylindrical preformer 1 to form a right cylindrical winding body 3 a bead core placing process P2 in which bead cores C are loosely inserted at an inner position from the both ends in the axial direction of the winding body 3 and at a distance d from the outer peripheral face of the winding body 3 and a pressure-bonded body forming process P3 in which the preformer 1 is expanded in its diameter with the winding body and the outer peripheral face of the winding body 3 is pressure-bonded on the inner peripheral face of the a bead cores C.
