<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having improved moisture resistance and giving a clear image even after repeated development by incorporating a specified cyclodextrin deriv. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic toner contains a cyclodextrin deriv. represented by the formula [where >=25% of substituents R are CH3C6H4SO3 or C10H7SO3 and (n) is 6-8] as an electrostatic charge controlling agent or part of an electrostatic charge controlling agent. This controlling agent is used in the form of a complex of the cyclodextrin deriv. with a metallic salt, ammonium salt or amine salt of an org. or inorg. acid. A resin used in this toner is polystyrene, polyalkyl methacrylate, a styrene-alkyl methacrylate copolymer, etc. Hygroscopicity can be reduced while almost maintaining electrostatic charge controlling ability.</p> |
