PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording/reproducing device that can be accessible at random and simultaneously record/reproduce data. SOLUTION: A hard disk drive 10 can configure one embodiment of a data recording/reproducing device 10 of this invention. The hard disk drive 10 is provided with a magnetic disk 15, an input buffer 12 placed on an input path 11, an output buffer 16 located on an output path 17 and a controller 14 placed between the input buffer 12, the output buffer 16 and the magnetic disk 15. The controller 14 is operated to simultaneously execute reading or writing of the magnetic disk 15, storage (recording) of input data to the input buffer 12 and transfer (reproduction) of output data from the output buffer 16 in parallel.
