PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power compensation device which can control the system voltage of a high-order system bus to be constant, without having to use a converter (CT) for detecting compensation current and a low-pass filter which DC-converts compensation current. SOLUTION: A power compensation device is installed in a higher-order system bus 5 to which system power 1 is connected via a voltage drop transformer 2, detects the system voltage Vs of the secondary side of the voltage drop transformer 2, and controls the system voltage V6.6 of the high-order system bus 5 to be constant based on a system voltage Vs. There is installed a control circuit 16 comparing detected system voltage Vs with a reference voltage, executing PID control, adding constant bias voltage to the control output, generating a signal proportional to compensation current, multiplying a gain equivalent to the impedance of the voltage drop transformer 2 to the signal, and adding a value to system voltage Vs, so as to equivalently generate the system voltage V6.6 of the higher-order system bus 5. |
