PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sounding/silencing operation following the intention of a player in an electronic music instrument having a tone selection function and a holding function. SOLUTION: Even if the operation mode of an electronic music instrument is at a holding mode (S350:YES), musical sound designated to be silenced is not kept to a sounding state but is silenced (S390) until a system returns to a regular mode (S360:YES) after the setting of tone is changed. Thus, the musical sound of new tone is prevented from being held. Consequently, the musical sound of new tone can be sounded to be short while the musical sound of old tone is held and is kept to the sounding state, for example. Even if the electronic music instrument is at the holding mode, the generation of the musical sound of new tone can be controlled at sounding/silencing timing following the intention of a player. |
