COLOR FILTER WITH SPACER, ITS PRODUCTION METHOD AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DEVICE USING THAT COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the material for the formation of a spacer and to form a liquid crystal device at a low cost. SOLUTION: A black matrix 2, a color layer consisting of a colored part 9 and a non-colored part 5, a protective layer 10 and a transparent conductive film 11 are formed on a transparent substrate 1. A spacer forming material 13 consisting of a photosensitive resin composition is applied through an ink jet head 12 on the transparent conductive film 11 in a region including the overlapped region of the black matrix 2. Then the material 13 is patterned by exposing through a photomask 14, and an unexposed part is removed to form a spacer 15.
