<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact method for sensing whether a cover is open or closed. SOLUTION: An electric device is equipped with a housing 4, a display which is arranged in the housing, has a touch sense surface 6 and receives and displays data, and covers 8 and 28. The covers are movable and connected to the housing 4 movably between their opening positions and closure positions. When the covers are closed, at least part of the touch sense surface 6 is covered with the covers 8 and 28. The device is equipped with a sensor for sensing whether the covers 8 and 28 are opened or closed. The sensor has one member 12 or 22 on the cover 8 or 28 and the corresponding operation area 66 or 68 of the touch sense surface 6. When the covers are at the closure positions, the members 12 and 22 and the corresponding operation areas 66 and 68 of the touch sense surface 6 are in contact with each other.</p> |
