<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately remove nearly spherical toner without increasing frictional force generated between a photoreceptor drum and a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: The average interval SM of the unevenness of the surface layer of the photoreceptor drum 9 in an axial direction is set to be larger than the volume average particle size of an external additive and smaller than the average particle size of toner. Since the external additive functions as a lubricant between the cleaning blade 20 and the surface of the photoreceptor drum 9, friction generated between the cleaning blade 20 and the surface of the photoreceptor drum 9 is properly maintained, and an interstice through which the toner comes out is not caused between the cleaning blade 20 and the surface of the photoreceptor drum 9, so that the toner is appropriately removed by the cleaning blade 20.</p> |
