PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system that suppresses production of a white spot in a black background and production of a black spot in a white background so as to enhance the contrast of a halftone image. SOLUTION: The image processing system where a result of spreading an error between output pixel data resulting from applying quantization processing to multi-value pixel data by each pixel received by each line and input pixel data to peripheral pixel data is binary-processed based on a preset threshold to provided an output of output binary pixel data, employs a full black/full white decision section 32 that decides whether each pixel of the received multi- value pixel data is a full black pixel or a full white pixel. When the decision section 32 decides each pixel to be a full black or full white pixel and a prescribed number of the decided pixel data is consecutive, the error with respect to the input pixel data is set to '0'. |
